TEAM LEADER ROLES:

Kitchen – Head Chef or Team Leader (Volunteer Role)

Our kitchen crew are some of the most appreciated people at camp! Eastercamp cannot funtion without food. Be part of the team that fuels our campers by providing 9000 meals per day. We supply all the gear, all the menus and all the food. You just need to co-ordinate getting it cooked and served on time.

Required:

You may not be a trained chef, and that’s ok! This is a demanding role though, and it requires someone who is level headed, a true servant leader, someone with a heart for food + young people, and someone who can remain calm and think on their feet. Reporting to the Event Director you will be part of making camp a huge success.

Clear Police check required.

Perks:

Onsite cabin, heaps of free food, excellent commercial kitchen equipment, dedicated crew area to relax and chill in. There are excellent systems and supports in place to ensure your success in this role.

Time Commitment:

Some pre-camp prep (up to 40hrs) & Full Easter Weekend (6-10 April).

Safety – Team Leader (Volunteer Role)

We want all our campers to feel safe and to be safe. Our safety team work around the clock to ensure every camper can relax and enjoy Eastercamp. The Safety Team works across three shifts to secure the site 24 hours a day.

Required:

A great manager of people who stays calm, thinks ahead and loves to serve. Someone who can rally and inspire the team to carry out the mission. Ideally, you will have some knowledge of Eastercamp and the Spencer Park site. There are three shift leaders who will report to you directly. The shift leaders manage their own teams. This is a strategic role that has responsibility for the overall running of the site safety and secuirty.

Clear Police check required.

Onsite cabin, all meals and snacks provided, dedicated crew area to relax and chill in. Reporting to the Event Director, you will gain a unique insight into the running of a large scale event. There are excellent systems and supports in place to ensure your success in this role. 

Time Commitment:

Several pre-camp meetings (evenings and some weekends) & Full Easter Weekend (6-10 April).

Medical – Team Leader (Volunteer Role)

The medical team work to ensure every camper can access help when needed during Eastercamp. We need a registered nurse or doctor to lead this team (role share with another person is also an option). We have all of the supplies and provide a dedicated building to house the team. If one of our campers needs help, you are leading the team that can bring professional care when needed.

Required:

Either be a currently registered nurse or doctor. A clear Police check is required for this role. A natural leader who can inspire their team.

TEAM ROLES:

EC CREW VARIOUS:

We are wanting to recruit more volunteers to the following areas:

  • Kitchen Team (Help prepare meals)
  • Loo Crew (Sparkly clean showers & toilets)
  • Site Team (Builders, Plumbers, Jack of all trades)
  • Medical Team (Registered Nurses & Doctors)
  • Admin Info Centre (Customer service)
  • Safety Team (3 shifts morning/afternoon/graveyeard)

Required:

A clear Police check is required for all roles and you need to be aged over 18. Most of all we are looking for people with great attitudes who want to get stuck in to ensure the event is the best that it can be for our campers. We will provide all the training you need to succeed in your role.

Perks:

Some roles have onsite cabins available, other roles offer camping space in the crew only area. All meals and snacks provided, dedicated crew only area to relax and chill in. Some roles offer passes so you can come and go as required. Great teams to be part of – Meet and make new friends!

Youth Group Volunteer

Youth groups are required to supply a volunteer to help our different crews over the Easter weekend. Key Leaders will be asking you to be involved and giving you the information you need to sign up. If you have been asked by a Key Leader, hit the button below and make sure you select 'Yes - I am representing our Youth Group as their volunteer' when it asks you. Be sure to ask your Key Leader if you have any questions.
